Family safe after $400K fire destroys home

Smoke alarms have saved the lives of a Vineland family.

Their home on Azalea Crescent was quickly destroyed by fire overnight, but the woman and her two teenaged children who lived there got out safely in pajamas and bare feet; the family’s dog is also ok.

Damage is estimated at $400,000. The fire also destroyed two vehicles and caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages to two neighbouring homes. The cause is still being investigated.
