Family of five uninjured after serious crash in Brant County

A couple and their three children managed to walk away from a rollover crash in Brant County.

According to OPP, emergency crews were called to Cockshutt Rd., near Burtch Rd., around 10:30 a.m. Thursday. 

The family was travelling in a pickup truck that was carrying a trailer when the driver lost control.

The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled over several times.

“The debris field is unbelievable,” said OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk from the scene.

“We’re actually surprised there were no serious injuries.”

Sanchuk says the two adults and three children, ages five, eight and 10, had no injuries.

He says all five were wearing their seatbelts.

Police say a truck driver who was recording the crash scene as he drove by was given a $500 ticket.
