Family, friends ride for Steve Mesic

The second annual Memorial Ride for Steve Mesic was held in Hamilton today.

Mesic was shot and killed in an altercation with Hamilton Police just over a year ago after leaving a mental health program at St. Joe’s.

Today, family and friends hopped on their motorcycles to remember Mesic, who loved to ride to Port Dover for Friday the 13th.

The ride started at T.B. McQuesten Park and ended in Stoney Creek. Participants were invited to donate to an education fund for Mesic’s son, Domenik, who never got to meet his father.
