Family, friends organize ground search in Hamilton for missing woman

Family and friends of 27-year-old Holly Ellsworth-Clark planned a ground search tonight in hopes of finding any signs of the missing woman.

Ellsworth-Clark was last seen leaving her home in the area of Barton St. and Sanford Ave. in Hamilton around 4 p.m. on Jan. 11.

She is described as six-foot-one, 200 lbs, hazel eyes, blonde hair, and short bangs. The missing woman was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, black boots, and may have been wearing a black backpack.

She was distraught and in a state of crisis prior to leaving, according to police. She left a distressing voicemail for her parents the day before she went missing and pleaded for them to send her a plane ticket so she could return to her hometown of Calgary.

Ellsworth-Clark is a singer, artist, and athlete and came to Hamilton to explore the arts and music scene.

A Facebook group called ‘Holly Clark Search’ has been created by her friends and family to help coordinate search efforts for the 27-year-old.

The group is called for volunteers to help in a grid search on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The group will be met at Eucharist Church at 130 Victoria Ave. North.
