What’s open and closed Family Day 2018

Here’s a look at what is open and closed today for Family Day.

OPEN TODAY

Several Hamilton museums and historic sites will be open, many of them offering special programming today including:

  • Dundurn Castle
  • Hamilton Children’s Museum
  • Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum

Most recreation centres and arenas will run on modified schedules. Hamilton’s Central Library and Turner Park branch will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

HSR, Halton Transit and the TTC will be on holiday schedules.

GO Transit is running on a Saturday schedule and is offering kids 12 and under a free ride.

CLOSED TODAY

Municipal and provincial government officers will be closed today.

There will be no garbage, recycling or green bin collection. In Hamilton, pick-ups will be pushed back one day.

LBCO and beer stores will be closed today, along with banks and most malls.
