Families ice fish for a cause

Families gathered at the Binbrook Conservation Area this morning to take part in the annual ice fishing derby. Kids learned how to ice fish and about the different species.

Brianne Wilson, the organizer of the event, called today’s chilly temperatures “more than ideal.”

Both kids and adults took home a number of prizes for the biggest fish caught. All proceeds went back to the Binbrook Conservation Area to support a number of projects.
