Families enjoy a mild holiday Monday in Hamilton

Parents and children in our area didn’t take family time for granted today. Between the mild weather and the holiday Monday, they were busy enjoying the family day in downtown Hamilton during Winterfest.

Hamilton Winterfest features 60 community-led events, with everything from classical concerts, exhibitions, workshops, classes, swing dance, story time and so much more.

Festival officials say by lunchtime roughly 650 people made their way through the doors of the Art Gallery of Hamilton. Winterfest began at the beginning of February and all activities are free.

Some families were catching some action on the ice for a Hamilton Bulldogs matinee. The Bulldogs faced off against the Kitchener Rangers. The Bulldogs won 4-0.
