Fall from balcony kills man

A 31 year old man is dead after falling from an apartment balcony in east Toronto; and now the province’s special investigations unit has been called in.

Police say they were speaking to the man who was wanted by police through the door of a 21st floor apartment when a neighbour came out into the hall to tell them a man was trying to climb into their apartment from the balcony.

Shortly after they broke down the door to enter the apartment, they received reports that a man’s body had been found on a 9th floor balcony.
