Explosives found in Long Point

There’s been a bomb scare in Long Point, on the north shore of Lake Erie.

Several cottages and homes were evacuated Sunday night after someone cleaning out a cottage on Woodstock Avenue found a live military explosive. People were kept away until experts from the Canadian Forces arrived from Borden and safely removed the device. Norfolk OPP say the explosive was live and had a time delay fuse. After it was safely defused, everyone was allowed back in the area.
