Explosive substance found in downtown Hamilton apartment not suspicious: police

Hamilton police say an explosive substance that was found in a downtown apartment building Monday is not being investigated as suspicious.
Officers say they were called around 1:45 p.m. to 181 Jackson St. West for suspicious circumstances.
Police were led to a storage locker in the basement, where the explosive substance was discovered.
In an update Tuesday, investigators say there is no origin of the substance and they’re not looking for any suspects.
Officers say the area is safe and all roads have reopened.
