Ex-CanPost contractor charged with mail theft

A former Canada Post contract employee has been charged with break and enter, theft of mail and possession of property obtained through crime.
Halton Regional Police teamed up with Canada Post inspectors to investigate thefts at the location on Guelph Line in Burlington. The thefts involved mail parcels which had not yet been delivered. Police executed two search warrants and recovered this stolen property with an approximate value of $8,500.
Former employee Thomas Edmund, 32, of Burlington has been arrested; he will appear in court April 16th.
