Etobicoke man charged with sexual assault of Halton teen, more victims suspected

Halton police have charged an Etobicoke man for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl from Halton and believe there may be more victims.
Masoud Abdulla, 35, used social media to connect with the young teen and then drove to Halton to pick her up on the evening of the assault.
Prior to the incident the victim had never met the accused in person.
Officers arrested Abdulla on Dec. 16 and charged him with sexual interference, sexual assault, obtaining sexual services for consideration and luring by telecommunications. The accused used the handle of “tsmith9423” online.
A Halton police release said that sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated.
“…[it] can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration. There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault. This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation,” the release stated.
Anyone with information, or anyone who has been victimized by Masoud Abdulla is asked to contact the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
Victims of violence or sexual assault can contact the police’s Victim Services Unit at 905-825-4777 for support.
