Emerald St. Fire investigated as arson

Police are investigating a Hamilton car fire as arson.

The blaze woke up frightened residents in the area of Emerald St. N and East Ave. N north early this morning. The fire spread to nearby garages and sent shrapnel flying.

Police believe the fire may have been intentionally set but don’t yet have a suspect. Kelda Yuen has more.
