Elton John at ‘Billy Elliot’ Toronto premiere

Pop superstar Elton John and his partner, executive producer David Furnish, took a break from diaper duty tonight to attend the Canadian opening of “Billy Elliot The Musical”.

Our very own Alex Reynolds was there and caught up with John on the red carpet.

John wrote the music for the 10-time Tony Award-winning show, about a British boy who longs to dance amid a coal miners’ strike in the 1980s.
John’s husband, Toronto-born David Furnish, who is one of the show’s producers, says that bringing the show to his hometown “is a dream come true.”
