Elliot Lake residents feeling frustrated

Updated It’s been over three months since the roof collapse at the mall in Elliot Lake killed two women and robbed a community of its commercial hub.

It has only been a few days since a civil suit was filed by the families of the two women who died here last June, that goes along with a class action suit launched against the owner of the mall.

There is also a public inquiry which has 18 months to investigate, and an OPP criminal investigation. Residents Sean Leathong spoke to believe that is why this has yet to be cleaned up – but no officials confirmed why it is still here…
