Elderly woman seriously hurt in Milton hit and run, driver sought

Halton police are trying to identify a driver after a woman was seriously hurt in a hit and run.

It happened around 3:10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Farmstead Dr. and Derry Rd. in Milton.

Police say an elderly woman was hit by a vehicle which then fled on Derry Rd. towards Bronte St. South.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The vehicle is described as a maroon or red 2012 to 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with a partial plate of ****124.

The driver is described as an older man with short hair and wearing a beige sweater or jacket.
