More disturbing details are being revealed about the assault allegations involving students at a Toronto catholic private school.

Eight students have been expelled in the wake of two separate incidents. Today officials from St. Michael’s College School met with parents and guardians as police say they believe there are more victims.

Toronto Police and the school have revealed little information about the investigations, but two police sources say that one is being criminally investigated as a sexual assault with an object. St. Michael’s College School initially said it informed police about both incidents on Monday but police have disputed that. They are saying they first heard about the incidents through the media on Wednesday.

Late this afternoon police released this statement:

“Investigators have been working cooperatively with the school’s administration and, as a result, a number of occurrences involving incidents of alleged assaultive and sexually assaultive behaviour have been opened.”

There was graphic video of the student being assaulted posted online.

Police say they believe there may be other victims and witnesses and are encouraging anyone who has not yet spoken to investigators to come forward.
