Eid Festival grows community outreach at Bayfront Park

Muslims in Hamilton continued their Eid celebrations with a festival at Bayfront Park today.

The sixth annual Eid Festival kicked off with a soccer tournament, bouncy castles and face painting. There were also carnival games and horse and pony rides for the hundreds of children and families who gathered at the event.

Eid celebrations conclude a month of fasting during Ramadan. Events like this are organized to help others in the community understand and to answer any questions about the Muslim religion.

Ramadan is the holiest month for Muslims.
