Duo in early 30s charged by Hamilton police in fentanyl seizure

The Major Drug Unit of Hamilton police have announced another large fentanyl bust in the city.
Two residences located on Hamilton Mountain were searched Dec. 18 based on information the police had since November.
In one of the homes investigators found fentanyl valued at nearly $70,000, Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) valued at $9,000 and a taser.
Authorities have arrested and charged Hamilton residents Shantel Kohler, 32, and James Kranendonk, 33, with possession of fentanyl and GHB for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and other charges.
