Dundurn stairs closed until May 13

Hamilton has closed the Dundurn stairs starting today, May 2.

The stairs will be closed until May 13 for the installation of new LED light fixtures.

“[The lights] will create a safer, more visible commute for those leaving for work early in the morning or exercising into the evening,” said the city in a statement.

The city says alternate routes are posted for pedestrians to bypass the closure.
