Dundas woman dies after being struck by tow truck

A 71-year-old woman has died from her injuries after she was struck by a truck while walking in a crosswalk in Dundas earlier this month.
The woman was crossing the road at King and Syndenham streets shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 6 when she was struck by a tow truck.
She was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. Police say she succumbed to those injuries on Feb. 15.
Speed, drugs and alcohol are not considered to be factors in the collision.
The victim’s name will not be released at the request of her family.
Police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Constable Walter Niblock of the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753.
