The business began at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market in 2006 and then the brick and mortar location opened in the fall of 2011.

Eisenberger says she looks forward to spending more time with her four grandkids but will still be active in the chocolate world.

“I’ve absolutely loved it here. The customers are fantastic, very supportive. And even just since I’ve announced this morning, literally an outpouring. It’s almost been a little emotional today,” Eisenberger said.

If you have a gift card, Beanermunky asks that you pop in as soon as you can to pick up some of your favourite treats.
