Dumb and Dumber To

Dumb and Dumber To is the sequel to 1994’s Dumb and Dumber written and directed by the Farrelly brothers, Peter and Bobby. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne respectively, and are joined by Laurie Holden and Kathleen Turner.

It’s been exactly 20 years since we left Lloyd and Harry playing tag, and everything but their idiocy has changed. When the new-kidney-needing Harry learns that he has a daughter out there, he must snap Lloyd out of the “comatose” state he’s been in since Mary’s rejection and hit the road to request her help. Crisscrossing the country in insane transportation, their journey to find her will take them from a mental institution—where they belong—to a summit that is playing host to the world’s most brilliant minds.

Carrey and Daniels have never quite gotten over how successful the original film was. “I have businessmen coming up to me in the airport to tell me that it is their favorite movie, and I think that’s because the Farrellys tapped into Lloyd and Harry’s sense of innocence,” explains Daniels. Carrey adds that “Lloyd and Harry have just stayed with people and were even closer to me than I realized. It’s great to feel the love people have for them.”
