Drugging revelations in Marineland vs Sea World suit

Sea World admits they use psycho-active drugs like Valium and Xanax on their orca whales.
The revelation comes from leaked documents during a legal battle between Marineland and Sea World over the transport of a killer whale. In a sworn statement filed to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Marineland said the orca was sedated.
The allegations were confirmed by Sea World. They say the drugs are regulated and prescribed by animal veterinarians. The park says the well-being of the animals is the highest priority.
The animal rights group PETA accuses Sea World of ‘pumping the animals full of psycho-active drugs in order to force them to perform tricks, and to stop them from acting aggressively in such a stressful environment.’ PETA adds ‘the end of Sea World is near’.
