Drug warrant executed in St. Catharines

Since January, members of the St. Catharines Street Crime Unit have been conducting an investigation into an individual suspected of trafficking cocaine in St. Catharines.

Police began watching suspected drug deals from the suspect at his home.

The police’s major concern was that these drug dealings were close to an Elementary School and public park which are used by families and small children.

On Thursday April 22nd, the police witnessed several suspected drug deals from the home by the suspect during afternoon into the evening.

A search warrant was granted for a Rodman Street residence which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Cocaine, Oxycodone, Marihuana, Canadian and American currency.

The police seized $2500 worth of Cocaine, Oxycodone, Marihuana and $8100 in Canadian and American Currency.

Arrested and charged is 47 year old John Cervone of St.Catharines. He has been charged with possession of trafficking, crime over $5000 and assaulting an officer.

Cervone has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 22nd.
