Drowning in Hamilton harbour

People near the walking trail in Bayfront Park called 9-1-1, after they heard the woman calling for help from the water around midnight.

When firefighters recovered her body, she had no vital signs. she was pronounced dead at Hamilton General Hospital.

Police haven’t said why she was in the water not far from the marina.

The area remains closed for the investigation.
