Environment Canada is warning drivers to exercise caution on Thursday with dense fog causing hazardous conditions on roadways.

The weather agency says fog advisories remain in effect for Hamilton, Halton and Niagara.

The fog will cause near zero visibility throughout the morning.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.

If visibility is reduced while driving, motorists are reminded to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
