It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the downbound lanes of the Claremont Acess.

Police say a driver in their early 20s was traveling in the wrong direction and was heading up the access in the downbound lanes.

The driver allegedly swerved around a number of vehicles until they ultimately crashed into a vehicle being driven by an individual in their 60s.

The individual was injured in the crash and taken to hopsital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

They have been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
