Driver runs over family of geese, killing two: Norfolk OPP

Norfolk County OPP are looking for video after a family of geese were run over in Simcoe.

Police were called to Norfolk St. around 7: 30 p.m. Wednesday.

They say a dark-coloured van travelling north on the street, sped up and hit the birds as they were crossing the road.

According to police, the driver stopped and exited the van to check for damage before getting back in the vehicle and driving away.

Two of the geese died, four others were seriously injured and were humanely dispatched by the responding officers.

Police are asking anyone who may have captured this incident on video to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

The driver is also being urged to contact police.
