Driver killed in tractor-trailer rollover on QEW in Fort Erie

A 54-year-old from Rockwood has died following a single-vehicle collision on the QEW between Fort Erie and Niagara Falls this morning.
The victim was driving a tractor-trailer around 9 a.m. near Netherby Road, when it struck the median and rolled over.
OPP were dispatched to the scene, and quickly closed traffic in both directions to address the damage and investigate.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Fort Erie bound traffic lanes reopened mid-afternoon, and Toronto bound traffic resumed in the evening.
OPP officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and are asking for witnesses to contact the Niagara detachment at 1-888-310-1122, and refer to incident number E241322886.
