Transport truck driver has critical injuries after crash on Highway 401 in Toronto

A man is in hospital with critical injuries after two tractor trailers collided on Highway 401 in Toronto overnight.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday on the eastbound express lanes approaching Allen Rd.
One of the trucks was parked on the right shoulder when it was struck by the other truck, police say.
The second truck hit the barrier and struck a bridge post.

As of 7:30 a.m., the eastbound express lanes of Highway 401 are closed from just before Highway 400 to the Allen Rd. Expressway.
Police say the closure is expected to last most of the morning.
