Driver charged after SUV smashes into parked vehicle in Hamilton

A 29-year-old man has been charged after a vehicle smashed into a parked SUV early Thursday morning in Hamilton.

Hamilton police and the Hamilton Fire Department were called to the collision on John St. just south of Burlington St.

Police say the driver of a white vehicle lost control and crashed into a white Jeep SUV that was parked in the driveway of a home.

Video from the scene shows the front end of the white vehicle sustained extensive damages.

The driver was taken to Hamilton General as a precaution and is expected to be okay.

He has been charged with careless driving.
