Man charged with impaired driving after single-car crash in Milton

A Guelph man has been charged after crashing a car into a ditch in Milton overnight.

Halton Police say the driver was in the area of 20 Side Road and 2 Line when he lost control of the vehicle.

Police say the vehicle rolled down a ditch and into a bundle of barbed wire.

The vehicle was so tangled in the wire, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle.

Emergency crews were able to pull him out and he was taken to hospital.

Police say the 48-year-old was charged with impaired driving after blowing almost twice the legal limit.
