Driver arrested for allegedly hitting cop

Police say they’ve arrested a driver who allegedly hit an officer in Kitchener over the weekend.

Waterloo Regional Police say four people have been arrested since the officer was struck and injured by a fleeing vehicle on Saturday.

Only two of the four will face charges, while the other two were released.

The officer who was hit is now at home recovering with a broken knee.
