Drill puts ERU & school board through their paces

Hamilton Police’s emergency response unit is always training for the worst case scenario.

Police carried out an emergency exercise Friday, simulating real-life incidents. The call was about a gun man who had taken several students hostage at an elementary school. There were actors playing the parts of both students and parents.

The exercises are designed to make sure Hamilton’s emergency services and school board are prepared in the case of a real incident.
