Dragon boaters take to Kelso

Dragon boaters took to the water at Milton’s Kelso Conservation Area today.

The 11th annual Oakville Charity Dragon Boat Festival saw 32 teams take part.

The Rotary Club of Oakville-Trafalgar ran the event in support of Halton Children’s Aid.

It saw people take part from all walks of life.

“It’s great team-building experience for work places. As well, we get a lot of just community groups, friends that just decide to get together a team. It’s absolutely for all levels,” said Kristin Baird, chair of the Oakville Charity Dragon Boat Festival.

The teams took pledges for Halton Children’s Aid, and could also raise funds for a charity of their choice.
