Downtown Hamilton Robberies

Hamilton Police are investigating two robberies in the downtown Hamilton area and believe that the same suspects are involved in both.
On February 14, 2016 just shortly before midnight, a man was approached by two unknown male suspects while walking through the area of Jackson Street West and Bay Street South near the Hamilton City Hall Parking lot.
The two male suspects assaulted the man and then stole his mobile phone and other property before running away on foot east towards MacNab Street South.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The second incident occurred on February 15, 2016 just shortly after midnight, where a man and woman were approached by two unknown male suspects while walking on MacNab Street South between Main Street West and Jackson Street West.
One of the suspects grabbed the woman’s purse and began to forcefully pull at it. The second suspect approached the man. The man resisted the suspects attempts to rob him and engaged him in a physical fight.
The suspect may have sustained noticeable injuries to his face area as a result.
Hamilton Police are looking for:
· Male, tanned skin, 5’10” to 6’0″ in height, late 28 to 30 years of age, black hair weighting 160-180lbs. Suspect was wearing a winter style jacket and a blue coloured hooded shirt.
· Male, tanned skin, 5’10” to 6’0″ in height. Suspect was wearing a winter style jacket and a dark winter hat
