Doug Ford meets with Alberta Premier at Ontario legislature

Premier Doug Ford and newly-elected Alberta Premier Jason Kenney will meet at the Ontario legislature Friday morning.
In a statement, Ford’s office says the conservative premiers will discuss carbon tax, pipelines and inter-provincial trade.
It is the first time the pair will meet since Kenney led his party to a majority government win in Alberta’s provincial election last month.
Ford and Kenney will also talk about a federal bill that could overhaul environmental assessments and establish a new process for reviewing major projects with a national scope.
Both premiers have been vocal opponents of the federal government’s plan to impose a carbon price on provinces without their own tax.
