Premier Doug Ford is receiving backlash for a comment made towards a patient who fled a Toronto mental health hospital.

Zhebin Cong was found not criminally responsible for killing his roommate with a butcher knife in 2014. He fled Toronto last month.

When Ford was asked if he regretted his statement, his answer was no.
