Donations pour in for the family of Halton’s first homicide victim
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family of Laura Grant, Halton’s first homicide victim this year.
The page was started yesterday and has raised over $7,000 of their $25,000 goal.
The fund was started by her co-workers on the emergency services team in Halton and Peel, where Grant worked for twenty-eight years as a 9-1-1 operator.
The 57-year-old was shot and killed in her rural Burlington home Wednesday afternoon.
Her husband, 57-year-old Kenneth Soederhuysen, has been charged with first-degree murder.
