One of the men convicted of human trafficking in a posh Ancaster home is now reportedly free on bail.

The Hamilton Spectator reported that Gyula Domotor was released last November.

He pleaded guilty to human trafficking charges and was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years for his role in the criminal ring that saw young men from Hungary arrive in Canada with the promise of work, only to be confined to a basement.

20 of the accused have already been deported back to Hungary.

Domotor has a Canadian citizenship and was living in Montreal with his wife and two children.

Parole board documents show he owes the Canada Revenue Agency a significant sum of money.
