Dom Hemingway

In Dom Hemingway, Jude Law plays the titular safecracker, stuck in jail for 12 years after refusing to rat out his boss to the police. When he gets out, Dom goes to claim his reward for being a loyal lackey, but ends up getting betrayed and almost killed by his former employer. With no one else to turn to, Dom tries to reconnect with his daughter before he gets pulled back into the life he left behind. The film co-stars Richard E. Grant, Demain Bichir, Emilia Clarke, Kerry Condon, and Jumayn Hunter.

The role of foul-mouthed Dom Hemingway is against type for Law, a charming English leading man. In the opening scene, Law’s character is completely naked, which helped prepare Law for the role. “I said to myself, ‘If I’m going to do this role, I’m going to walk on set naked and do that first scene, and then I’ll know I can do the whole thing,’” Law said.  “That was a great start.”
