Doctor accused of child molestation out on $10K bail

Charges of sexual assault and sexual interference against Dr Dan Marshall stem from a complaint by a patient, an 11-year old boy.

Marshall has been practicing in Hamilton for the last 25 years, out of offices in the east end and the mountain.

Police launched the investigation four months ago, and believe there may be more victims. Part of the bail conditions prohibit Marshall from examining any patients under 18, unless he’s accompanied by another doctor. He is also not allowed to be alone with anyone under 16, other than his children and grand-children.

Marshall will be back in court on September 8th.
