The province-wide job disruption by school custodians during ongoing contract talks is creating quite a mess. Pictures and videos are being posted online, showing the state of school hallways. These images are showing piles of dirt and discarded papers piling up along the hallways.

During the province-wide job disruption by school custodians, the cleanliness of schools is suffering. One union local president issued a statement on Wednesday: “We continue to deal with contentious issues on the table, which we are attempting to address. We remain in Toronto, and will continue to sit at the table through Sunday if necessary.”

Hamilton Wentworth Public School board officials are monitoring the negotiations closely and are asking students to take pride in their schools and pick up after themselves.
