Dewitt Road and Highway 8’s intersection set to close for one month

The city of Hamilton says the intersection at Dewitt Road and Highway 8 will close for about one month starting Tuesday for underground sewer updates and associated work.
The planned work includes curb replacement, updates to sanitary sewer systems and road restoration.
Starting Tuesday, September 5, the intersection of Dewitt Road and Highway 8 will be closed for approximately one month to complete underground sewer updates and associated work. Motorists should detour using Millen and Fruitland Roads.

The city advises drivers to detour using Millen and Fruitland Roads during the full closure.
Commuters travelling using the Route 55 Stoney Creek Central bus may experience minor delays as not all stops will be in service during the closure.
