Detectives investigate break and enter at Highland Packers

On February 29th 2016, just after 12:00am the Hamilton Police responded to reports of a break and enter taking place at Highland Packers located at 432 Highland Road East. A vehicle was seen ramming the entrance way of the store.

Witnesses also indicated that a dark coloured pickup truck was seen fleeing from the area after sounds of shattering glass was heard.

Police noted that on the front glass doors damaged by the suspects was a sign that read, “All money from ATM is removed nightly”.

It is believed that the suspects used the truck to break down the front doors and force their way into the store. Once inside the suspects made their way to the ATM machine only to discover as indicated by the signs throughout the store that “All money from ATM is removed nightly”

Suspects fled from the store with nothing reported stolen.
