Despite Hamilton Police appeal, no heroin turned in

Police say no one has come forward to turn in heroin, despite calls last week for the public to do so.
Hamilton Police made the call last week after a recent spike in overdoses and deaths. It led them to issue a warning to intravenous drug users about potentially fatal drugs being sold on the street.
Police are asking anyone with illicit drugs to turn them in for testing. They also warn anyone who uses heroin or other opioids to take the proper precautions, which include picking up a free prevention kit.
