Dense fog could make for hazardous commute in Ontario, airports affected

Most of southern Ontario are experiencing dense fogs, causing hazardous driving conditions and also impacting operations at airports.

Environment Canada issued the fog advisory, which stretches from Belleville, Ont. to Woodstock, Ont., as visibility is close to zero within those areas.

The organization recommends drivers to slow down, watch for tail lights and be ready to stop if visibility is reduced while driving.

Toronto’s Pearson Airport says the flow of arriving flights have reduced in order to maintain safety during the foggy conditions, which can cause flight delays.

The fog is expected to disappear throughout the day.
