Dellen Millard appealing first-degree murder conviction

Dellen Millard will be appealing his first degree murder conviction in the death of Tim Bosma.

Millard’s lawyer, Ravin Pillay confirmed the appeal today saying a notice will be filed shortly but did not say whether or not he will be representing Millard in the process or what the grounds for the appeal will be.   Thomas Dungey , the lawyer for co-accused Mark Smich, confirmed he’ll be appealing as well.

The jury handed down guilty verdicts back on June 17th after deliberating for five days. The decision carries an automatic life sentence with no parole for 25 years. The defence has 30 days to appeal after the verdict.
