Delays at Pearson

Travellers at Pearson International Airport face dozens of delays and cancellations on Sunday as snow and cold weather have caused disruptions.

The snowfall that happened on Saturday caused a flight backlog resulting in scores of delays and cancellations. More than 100 flights were cancelled or pushed back Sunday, after a similar number from the day before.

The delays happen as many people head to warmer climates for universities’ reading week. Passengers are expressing their frustrations over the inconveniences as airlines struggle to recover from the delays.

Operations are hoped to return to normal by Sunday evening, but airlines are advising travellers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.
